Jodie's new 2008 Christmas Book, released by Faithpoint Press. It may be purchased at Borders, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and other book stores throughout the country.

A heartwarming story about how the Inn Keeper's children, Hezir and Miriam, help the tired travelers find some space to sleep. As the story progresses the children learn that this is no ordinary baby boy.

Jodie has several booksignings based on this new book. If you would like to have the illustrator personalize and sign this book, just contact the Gallery and we will make sure you receive the book.
The cut off date would be December 10th 2008.

This is the back and front cover to a new book to be released next year. It will be a series of juvenile products that will be licensed to various manufacturers and publishers. The tiltle to this book is "The First Christmas". The story will be told by the animals featured in the story and it will be all in rhyme.

Dicksons, Inc. of Seymour, Indiana has licensed the characters and have made them into miniature, 2 1/2" high little characters. They have been granted National & International rights to manufacture and distribute this 3/D product.

I will post updates on this property as other licensees apply the images to their product lines.

Jodie is entertaining the many guests who found the many artist's work represented in the Gallery so interesting from a style and technique standpoint.
At present we have 17 artists from across the country, several we had met at American Greetings, in Cleveland. We have kept in touch with them over the years and feature their work within the Gallery and several other Fine Artists that we have met along the way.
Over 140 people attended the Grand Opening of the Jodie McCallum & Company Fine Art Gallery and Studio.

View of west wall, teal wall on left will have the three pedestals placed in front with stainless steel metal sculptures place on the mirrored tops.
The lighter colored wall will have two rows hung horizontally of original artwork and limited edition prints.
This is an image of the artist's studio, the window to the left faces the north allowing the true north light. The digital video camera will be mounted to the ceiling and will focus on the drawing table that will be placed against the brown wall. The images will be sent to the large flat screen TV so the artists will be able to show scheduled tour groups how they Illustrate their works of art.

The new awning is being installed.
The landscaping and patio is scheduled to start within the next 2-3 weeks. A "Soft Opening" is scheduled for late April with a Grand Opening scheduled for June 21st.
We will be posting new images as the displays and paintings are hung in the Gallery.

The Gallery will initially feature 10 Artists that we have worked with or represented over the 35 years in the arts and publishing.

The variety of styles will certainly appeal to the customers of this new gallery. The Gallery will feature a working studio complete with a digital video camera that will be mounted in the ceiling - the images will be shown on a 50" flat screen TV mounted on the wall above the artists drawing table. A wireless mike will allow the artist to explain their work over the Gallery sound system.
A similar studio system will be available on the outside patio, on the south side of the building (see below).
We plan to feature not only the visual arts but also the perfoming arts here-Jazz, blues and lite rock.
Photo of east side of building, the arched window will be a stained glass window that will be back lite at night.
The other photo shows the lobby entrance and the west side of building. Behind the building is a park and beyond that is Lake Erie, with a view of Kelleys Island.

New Fine Art Gallery and Art Studio being constructed in Marblehead, Ohio.
This 1,500 sq. ft. Gallery will feature many artists work that the McCallum's have worked with over the past 35 years.
The Unique features of this Gallery will be the two working studios. One will be an interior studio, that features a digital video remotely activated zoom camera, mounted in the ceiling above the work station of the artist. A 50" flat screen TV is mounted on the wall above the artist, this will enable scheduled groups of visitors to view how the artists works. The artist will be able to converse with the visitors via a wireless head mike through the the internal and external sound system.
A similar system will be featured on the Patio/Studio as seen on the left front side of the structure. The perimeter of the patio will have benches attached to stone flower boxes, so it should present a nice presence from the street.
The facility is scheduled to open in April, with a Grand Opening in mid June. I'll post more images as the Gallery progresses.
